This editorial spread, made during BMC's molecular biology visualization course, was intended for a scientific magazine like Scientific American. This spread details the process of how the Ebola virus enters and takes over a host cell. There is an emphasis on understanding molecular structure, function, interactions, and changes, along with contemporary relevancy of the topic. Data was retrieved from the PDB database and brought into UCSF Chimera for cleaning, assembly, and some flat renderings. Final 3D renderings were done in Maxon Cinema 4D, which were then placed into a layout with text, labels, and accompanying graphics in Adobe Illustrator.
