PROJECT DETAILS

A medical legal visualization piece, co-designed with Julia Devorak, Bernadette MacNeil, and Kim Nipp. It was created to support the defendant in a medical malpractice suit that involved a hysterectomy used to treat abnormal bleeding caused by uterine fibroids. The co-design team, with guidance from Dr. Leila Lax, went through intense iterative phases in order to produce visualizations that would demonstrate clearly and accurately that the defendant used due diligence and was not negligent. The use of data visualization (charts, timelines, etc) complimented the detailed anatomical illustrations. Each member of the co-design team had a hand in design, layout, and rendering.
